O Christmas Tree

We put up our Christmas tree a few weeks ago and it sure has changed now that we have kids. There are no decorations from my waist down and there have been plastic editions to it this year!It took a while for Luke to figure out what was going on...but since he figured it out he has added all sorts of "decorations"......We have plastic toy rings.....his favorite "spinning" toy.....and of course the bottle.

It is definately different but I love the additions. It is all signs that there are children in my home and that makes me so happy! I love it!

Round 2 of the walker days

It seems like we just barely put the walker out in the garage....oh wait that is because we did! I can't believe we have already brought it back in for Emma. She is growing way to fast! I am pretty sure Luke was more excited about the walker than Emma was. She really hasn't been all that impressed with it. Luke thinks that he needs to put all his toys on the tray to share with Emma. The other night for family home evening we did some Christmas stuff with the Buckleys. Lots of fun!!!These two are just plain crazy! But we love them for it!

A Rexburg Thanksgiving...Brrrrr!!!

This year we were able to all meet together at Tony's parents for Thanksgiving. We have had a lot to be thankful for this year in this family...it has been quite the year! We have all witnessed many answered prayers and even some amazing miracles happen! So far this year alone we have added 4 new babies and there is 1 more that hopefully comes in December!! I am pretty sure Luke's favorite part of the whole trip was Grandpa's dogs. He LOVED them!
He also loved Grandma's sparkley tree.Emma had some sweet Uncle Dallin time watching the BSU gameThe girls made bead watches during the game.Luke thought Paiges was pretty fun
I do have to admit that sleep was not really something any of us got very much of. It was not all that fun to sleep in one hotel room with 2 babies. They pretty much tag teamed waking eachother and us up....but we managed and made it thru it all.
There was swimming at the hotel that was fun. The big pool was cold so everyone was in the tiny hottub. It was pretty funny to watch them all try and "swim" in there.
I am not sure that Emma & Paige really enjoyed it all that much.
It sure was cold over there though. Whenever we put Luke's hat on he always looks grumpy about it, but I think he looks cute anyways! Thanks for all the fun!

Olsen Family Indian Feast

We had our annual family feast this year before Thanksgiving. I love this tradition so much. It is starting to get hard eating off the floor with 2 little ones but it was still fun. I think Luke was very confused by what was going on but I am sure he will love it one day.I thought this was a fun picture of Grandma & Luke

Catching up

Okay...I have been way behind in the blogging world.....and so I have spent last night and today trying to catch up. I went back into October & November and back dated entries....so this is some of what we have been up to. Emma is smiling all the time now which is so fun since Luke rarely showed any emotion

Here is Luke in his new warm hat in his favorite chair at my mom's.He is walking all over the place and carrying anything he can lift off the ground. It is pretty funny to watch he go, go, go!Travis & Naomi stayed the night at my parents a few weeks ago and we were over visiting them. My dad pulled out books to read before bedtime and had the kids all entertained. One of my favorite things when I was little was to listen to my dad read books to us. My dad has the best reading voice ever and it was so much fun to see the next generation love it too!

Here is a fun video of the two kids.

The Mouth

One of the random things that Luke does is walk around with anything he can find in his mouth...I can't believe some of the stuff that has fit....
his sippy cupblocks
Emma's toys
another sippy cup
mylicon bottles
diapers
One of my favorites is the bottle...he literally walks around playing while sucking on his bottle without his hands...it is crazy!
And Emma's pink binkie...I can't wait till he is 16 and I whip this picture out of him and his manly pink binkie!!!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween is always one of my favorite holidays. We had our usual party at our house again this year. We had some of my family and the Buckleys over. It was so fun!!!

This year our theme was Beauty and the Beast. Tony was Gaston and Emma was Belle. I was Mrs. Potts and Luke was Chip. As you can tell from Luke's facial expression, he was so thrilled to be in his costume. Katie & Weston's theme was The Wizard of Oz. Naomi was a princess angel and Travis was a cop.Kelly & Betsy were BSU fans.Porter & Kelsey were Micky & Minnie Mouse. We had our usual donut on a string race.....of course John & Katie had to challenge eachother....man are they two peas in pod!!! Katie won that round.

Katie beat me also.Weston beat Porter and Linda by eating his off the floor.I think my dad and Kelly did more wrestling on the floor that actually eating. And I don't think Kelsey thought it was as fun and she thought it would be.Travis & Naomi even gave it a try.Poor Luke was trying to figure out what everyone was doing and he kept looking at the strings after we were done waiting for his turn. Weston tied one of Luke's toys to the string and Luke just stood there for so long determined to figure out a way to get it. It was hilarious!

My dad loves to hold his grandkids....he is getting to be a pro at holding more than one at a time now.I loved this picture of Emma and her Uncle Weston...she was so smitten with him that night.
